May Blog: The Beach and the End of the Year!

 

Mangos Friends and Family!

Hey y'all! May was so busy and filled with so much excitement. First of all, we transformed our classroom into a beach complete with the seaside Mangos "snack shack", the ocean filled with sea creatures and plenty of sand toys! The kids had such a fun time exploring and learning all about the animals that live in the ocean. In dramatic play, they worked hard in our ice cream shop, preparing different combinations of ice cream for their friends. In addition to our beach theme, we also had a water play day for our little mangos. They had so much fun experimenting and playing in the water! 

Well now it's June and we're three days away from summer vacation and I wanted to take a moment and talk about how thankful we all are for having everyones support throughout this school year. Like I am sure I have mentioned before, our end of the year celebration turned out amazing and we could not have done it with out you all! The little mangos have blossomed into incredible little humans and I am so impressed with all of their growth this year. They have ALL made so much progress, they learned so many new things, made so many friends and played so well all year. Having them in the Mangos class this school year has been such a joy and we cannot wait to see what amazing things they all end up doing. Please have a fantastic summer vacation!!

¡Familia y Amigos de los Mangos!

¡Hola a todos! Mayo fue un mes muy ocupado y lleno de emoción. ¡Primero que nada, transformamos nuestro salón en una playa completa con el “Snack Shack” de los Mangos frente al mar, un océano lleno de criaturas marinas y muchos juguetes de arena! Los niños se divirtieron muchísimo explorando y aprendiendo sobre los animales que viven en el océano. En el área de juego dramático, trabajaron en nuestra heladería, preparando diferentes combinaciones de helado para sus amigos. Además de nuestro tema de la playa, también tuvimos un día de juegos con agua para nuestros pequeños mangos. ¡Se divirtieron muchísimo experimentando y jugando en el agua!

Bueno, ya estamos en junio y a solo tres días de las vacaciones de verano. Quería tomar un momento para agradecerles a todos por el apoyo que nos brindaron durante este año escolar. Como estoy segura que ya he mencionado, ¡nuestra celebración de fin de año fue increíble y no lo podríamos haber logrado sin ustedes! Los pequeños mangos han florecido y se han convertido en seres humanos increíbles, y estoy tan impresionada con todo lo que han crecido este año. TODOS han progresado muchísimo, han aprendido muchas cosas nuevas, han hecho muchos amigos y han jugado tan bien durante todo el año. Tenerlos en la clase de los Mangos este año ha sido un verdadero placer, ¡y no podemos esperar a ver todas las cosas increíbles que terminarán haciendo!

February Blog: Dentists and Post Office

Mango Family and friends! Hey y’all! It’s Ms. Maia, I’m taking over the blogs! Isn’t that so exciting? To start off, can y’all believe that February is over already? It was a very short month, but it was FILLED with so much fun and exploration. We began February with the theme of the post office which helped us get very excited for Valentine's Day. Speaking of Valentine’s Day, the party was fantastic, and the kids were talking about it even after it was over!  During the post office theme, the children loved playing in dramatic play center, which was transformed into their very own post office! The children wrote and "delivered" letters to their loved ones, made their own name badges and learned all about what a mail person does for work! September Blog: Our School Family

Hello Mangos family and friends! It’s hard to believe we've completed our first month at school! Our little Mangos have adjusted beautifully, getting to know their classmates and teachers. We’ve focused on classroom rules, center play, and being good friends. We’re excited to introduce our first Unit Study: Trees!
